May the eyes of Your Church and people of common sense awaken to the deception of what this amendment proposes. Your heart is always compassionate towards the vulnerability of babies, and so I ask that out of that great love You will defend and protect these little ones by empowering Floridians to vote NO on Amendment 4. As a result of this ruling, the following statement will now appear on the ballot under the deceptive amendment language:

FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT

The proposed amendment would result in significantly more abortions and fewer live births per year in Florida. The increase in abortions could be even greater if the amendment invalidates laws requiring parental consent before minors undergo abortions and those ensuring only licensed physicians perform abortions. There is also uncertainty about whether the amendment will require the state to subsidize abortions with public funds. Litigation to resolve those and other uncertainties will result in additional costs to the state government and state courts that will negatively impact the state budget. An increase in abortions may negatively affect the growth of state and local revenues over time. Because the fiscal impact of increased abortions on state and local revenues and costs cannot be estimated with precision, the total impact of the proposed amendment is indeterminate.

Change in Endorsement for the City Council of Winter Springs  

Orlando, FL—Each election cycle we issue our preferred “picks” to support candidates in local races. Our selections in non-partisan municipal races seek to identify candidates with a sound conservative governing philosophy. The role of city government is primarily limited to core services.

Unfortunately, our research into Winter Springs revealed several critical failures including multiple Consent Orders issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for issues surrounding the water system in Winter Springs. We believe conservatism should balance stewardship of our environment with the rights of individuals, a view which has been championed by the DeSantis administration.

The damage done by the Winter Springs water utility which necessitated the Florida Department of Environmental Protection action made it clear a change in leadership in Winter Springs is needed. This resulted in our endorsement of Victoria Colangelo and Cade Resnick for the city commission, and either Mark Caruso or Brandon Morrisey for Mayor.

I am pleased to announce that our 2022 Florida Voter Guides are now online. Both English and Spanish versions are available.

There are two types of voter guides. The main voter guide is designed for and approved by legal counsel for churches. This covers the Governor’s race and the US Senate race. It is available digitally for download and our team has also distributed over 1 million hard copy, full-color paper voter guides to 88 locations in all 67 counties throughout Florida. Our volunteer teams on the ground will now distribute them to churches, organizations, and businesses.

The second type of voter guides are endorsement guides. These voter guides directly show you who we recommend you vote for. They cover Congress, the State Legislature, Judges, and the Amendments. They are only available digitally and can be downloaded here.

If you would like a packet of our church-friendly voter guides to distribute to your friends, church, customers, or neighbors, we would love to get them into your hands.
